Zlote Tarasy Warschau
The Golden Terraces, Zlote Tarasy in Polish, is Poland's as well as one of Europe's largest ongoing building projects. It is now rising in the center of Warsaw, adjacent to the Palace of Culture and the central Station.

More than 1,000 persons are working in shifts on the 226,000 square-meter center for shopping, entertainment, offices and parking. The shopping center, with supermarkets, shops and restaurants and office blocks, is scheduled to open in the latter part of 2005. The design is futuristic, with a 10,000-square-meter curved glass roof as the most spectacular element.

"The glass dome is as close to space technology as we can get. The entire project is a huge challenge. There are few straight lines," says Mike Sullivan, Project Director, Skanska Poland.
